What is anxiety disorder? This is the question many people are asking.
Here's the simple answer.
Anxiety disorders are a group of different symptoms rooted chiefly in fear and anxiety. These feelings usually result in panic attacks-feelings of intense and sudden fear.

The truth is, everyone has anxiety at one time or another. It's perfectly natural to be a little nervous before a big exam, a blind date, or a job interview.
But when you're constantly plagued by worry, overwhelm, and fear regarding daily life events, you may be suffering from an anxiety disorder.
There are six types of anxiety disorders. Each one of them has its own particular symptoms.
Generalized Anxiety Disorder deals with the worry and fears that come with day-to-day living. So the anxiety is general and not linked to a particular thing or activity.
A phobia is an intense, irrational fear of certain objects, places, or situations that present no danger. The most common types of phobias are fear of animals (frogs, snakes), fear of flying and fear of heights.
If the thought of being embarrassed in a public setting sends you into panic mode, you may have social anxiety disorder. This type of anxiety can be mistaken for shyness but in reality, it's a debilitating fear of looking bad in front of others.
Anxiety sufferers with Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), are plagued by compulsive actions like frequent hand washing.
Many people who have experienced major traumatic events could develop post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). War veterans, victims of automobile accidents, terrorist attacks or other life-threatening situations are more vulnerable to developing PTSD.
Symptoms like nightmares and panic attacks occur when faced with the anxiety trigger or something that reminds the person of the event.
If you have a panic disorder, you regularly suffer from panic attacks and you're constantly worried about the next attack. Hyperventilation, rapid heart rate, dizziness, and intensive fear of dealing with the panic trigger are common symptoms.

•Constant feeling that something bad is going to happen
•Irritable and restless feelings (You just can't relax)

•The constant urge to urinate/diarrhea
•Does it feel like your throat is closing up?
•Panic attacks that seem to come out of nowhere
Anxiety symptoms wouldn't go away on their own. In fact, if an anxiety disorder isn't treated, the panic only gets worse over time.
The good news is that anxiety disorders are completely treatable through therapy and self-help techniques.
